“To be a farmer is to be a student forever, for each day brings something new.”

— John Connell

In the community supported agriculture (CSA) model, local community members support a farm with an upfront payment prior to planting, and the farm delivers harvests regularly throughout the growing season in return.

At We Are Up, our community members will be able to find their place within our on-site CSA farming operation. Whether it’s spending time with the plants, interacting with community members, or handling logistics, we believe the purpose and challenge found on the farm will allow each community member to reach for their highest potential.

Help us build a greenhouse, our first community hub.

Learning to plan and start a garden, care for crops, and process a harvest provides work opportunities and develops crucial life skills like teamwork, accountability, and attention to detail.

Centering these activities in a greenhouse on the We Are Up property will begin the process of building the larger We Are Up community as we develop partnerships, learn what the community needs, and embody our mission to provide an integrated, thriving community.

By demonstrating early successes like this, our community will prove to funding agencies that we are serious, capable, and stand behind the We Are Up mission.
