Studies show that more than half of young adults with autism haven’t interacted with a friend for over a year and 80% of adults with developmental disabilities in our state are currently living with aging parents who, in coming decades, will no longer be able to care for their adult children. We Are Up is more than a dream of parents of people with disabilities. More than a need of seniors and students. It is an almost shovel-ready urban infill project, keeping over 80% of the property as open space as a community benefit. We Are Up will provide housing within walking distance to grocery, bank and health care, and a community center so we can all grow and share a community that is diverse in many ways.
